Kuwait national football team loses 2-1 in friendly against Yemen

Jeddah, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait national football team lost 1-2 to Yemen on Friday in a friendly match held in preparation for the upcoming Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27), which kicks off on September 23 in Saudi Arabia.

Mohammed Daham scored Kuwait's goal in the match, which was played in Jeddah.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will host the 27th edition of the Gulf Arab Cup from September 23 to October 6.

Kuwait is placed in Group A alongside Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Oman, while Group B comprises the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Yemen.
