Russian President: Value of Russian arms export order book exceeds $70 billion

Moscow, 18 Sep (KUNA) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that the value of Russia’s arms export order book has exceeded $70 billion, noting an increase in the production of weapons and equipment at Russian defense industry institutions since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

In a speech delivered during a ceremony at the Russian Presidential Palace (the Kremlin) to award state honors and prizes to employees of the Russian military-industrial complex on the eve of “Weapon Maker’s Day,” which falls on September 19, Putin added that defense industry institutions continue to produce and supply weapons and equipment to Russian forces.

He explained that supplies of radar stations to the forces have increased by approximately fivefold, while supplies of armored weapons and equipment have risen by two and a half times.

Putin stated that the production of drones in Russia has increased several times across various categories, with some categories recording increases reaching several dozen times, noting that the supply of drones to Russian forces continues.

He pointed out that the production and supply of combat means and ammunition, including high-precision missiles and shells, have increased by more than 22 times since the start of the operation.
