Indian Prime Minister and UAE President discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation

New Delhi, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks on Friday with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to deepen bilateral cooperation. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that Modi received a phone call from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which the two leaders discussed new measures to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, including in the fields of energy, defense, technology, investment, and health. The statement noted that the UAE president congratulated the Indian prime minister on India’s successful presidency of the BRICS group, while Modi expressed his appreciation for the participation of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, in the summit convened by the group, and for the UAE’s cooperation and partnership in achieving substantive outcomes during India’s BRICS presidency. The two leaders also exchanged views on developments in West Asia and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing cooperation and coordination in efforts to enhance peace, security, and stability in the region.
