Qatar condemns attack on mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan
Doha, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Qatar expressed its condemnation and denunciation on Friday of the attack targeting a mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, which resulted in casualties.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated in a statement the State of Qatar's steadfast position rejecting violence, terrorism, and criminal acts regardless of motives or causes, emphasizing its complete rejection of targeting places of worship and terrorizing civilians.
The Ministry extended Qatar's condolences to the victims' families and to the Government and people of Pakistan, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Earlier in the day, Pakistani police announced that a suicide bomber targeted a mosque within a police facility in the city of Kohat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province while worshippers, including security personnel and their families, were performing Friday prayers.
