French President accuses Russia of escalating its multi-domain (hybrid) attacks on France and Europe
Paris, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- French President Emmanuel Macron accused Russia on Friday of escalating its multi-vector (hybrid) attacks against France and Europe over the past few weeks, stating that he had ordered measures to protect France's critical infrastructure and defense manufacturing sites from such attacks.
Macron made these remarks to reporters following a meeting with political party leaders, attended by Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu and military and intelligence officials, to discuss recent developments on the international stage.
Macron said, "The threat facing Europeans and France, particularly the Russian hybrid threat, has intensified over the past few weeks."
He added, "I have asked the government to prepare a plan to protect our critical infrastructure, as well as the most sensitive sites in our defense industrial and technological base, from drone and cyber attacks." (End) MB/AMS
