16 Pakistanis killed, 50 others injured in suicide bombing in northern Pakistan
Islamabad, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Pakistani police announced on Friday that at least 16 people, including five police officers, were killed and 50 others injured in a suicide bombing targeting a mosque inside a police station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northern Pakistan.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Police stated in a statement that the incident occurred at the police headquarters in Kohat district, noting that a firefight broke out with the terrorists accompanying the suicide bomber.
In this regard, the provincial Chief Minister, Sahil Afridi, requested the security authorities to provide a detailed report on the incident, emphasizing that targeting innocent civilians is "extremely regrettable and unacceptable." (End) S.B.K / A.M.S
