Kuwait to Host the 2027 First Asian Games for Esports and Mind Sports

By Saud Al-Dawila, Kuwait – 18 – 9 (KUNA) – The Executive Board of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) approved, during its 110th meeting held on Friday, Kuwait’s bid to host the first Asian Games for Esports and Mind Sports in 2027.

Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Vice President of the OCA for the West Asia region and President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Kuwait’s hosting of the inaugural edition reflects strong confidence in the country’s capabilities and organizational strengths.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah affirmed that the Kuwait Olympic Committee will work in cooperation and coordination with the OCA and relevant stakeholders to meet all requirements necessary for the success of the Games and to present them in the best possible light, befitting Kuwait’s standing and its ability to host and organize Asian sporting events.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Joaan Al-Thani, President of the OCA, and to the members of the Executive Board for approving Kuwait’s hosting of the Games, adding that he takes great pride in this confidence. (End) S.A.D. / T.A.B.
