Islamic Cooperation Organization Condemns Houthi Attack on Taif

Jeddah, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation on Thursday of the "aggressive terrorist" attack carried out by the Houthi militia using a drone that targeted the city of Taif in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to other innocent civilians.

The OIC Secretariat stated in a statement that this cowardly act constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and all international norms and covenants, and is a continuation of the despicable escalation targeting the security and stability of the Kingdom, as well as the lives of civilians and civilian facilities.

The organization extended its sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, reaffirming its full support and steadfast solidarity with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to protect its territory, safeguard its security, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
