Pakistan: We stand shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia in defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity

Islamabad, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday that Islamabad stands "shoulder to shoulder" with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in defending its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the security of the Two Holy Mosques.
Sajjad Khan, spokesperson for the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated during a press conference that his country is closely monitoring the developments in the Middle East in light of the ongoing attacks by the Houthi militia.
Khan noted that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attempt to target Mecca with a drone launched by the Houthi militia against civilians, civilian facilities, and Islamic holy sites in Saudi Arabia.
He added that Prime Minister Sharif praised the alertness, courage, and exceptional professionalism displayed by the Saudi Armed Forces in their swift response.
Khan expressed Pakistan's continued concern over the ongoing escalation and its implications for regional peace and security, maritime navigation, and global energy supplies.
