Oman strongly condemns the treacherous targeting of the Holy Makkah

Muscat, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- The Sultanate of Oman expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation on Thursday of the "criminal, heinous, and treacherous" targeting of the Holy City of Mecca, reaffirming its complete rejection of any infringement upon the sanctity of the holy sites and the safety of the pilgrims.

In a statement, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Sultanate reaffirms its solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the measures it is taking to protect its security, stability, and sovereignty.

The statement called on the countries of the region to intensify cooperation and solidarity among themselves to address various outstanding bilateral, regional, and multilateral issues, ensuring the rights of all to security, stability, and a safe and dignified life.
