Arab Council of Interior Ministers condemns and strongly denounces the Houthi militia's attack on the Holy City of Mecca

Tunis, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- The Arab Interior Ministers Council strongly condemned on Thursday the Houthi militia's attack on the Holy City of Mecca, expressing its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against this aggressive aggression.
The Council's General Secretariat stated in a statement that it received with strong condemnation reports that the terrorist Houthi militia launched a drone toward the city of Mecca on Wednesday, which was intercepted and destroyed by Saudi air defenses before it entered the prohibited airspace of the Holy Capital.
It emphasized its strict condemnation and absolute denunciation of this terrorist aggression, considering it a blatant violation of international law rules, a gross breach of the sanctity of the Holy Mosque and the sacred sites, and a provocation of the feelings of Muslims around the world.
The Council reaffirmed its full solidarity and complete support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the measures it takes to protect its territory and sanctuaries, and to maintain its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
