Qatar Central Bank raises interest rate
Doha, Sept. 16 (KUNA) -- The Qatar Central Bank announced on Wednesday that it has raised its deposit rate by 25 basis points to 4.10 percent, following an assessment of Qatar's current monetary policy.
The Qatar News Agency quoted the bank's account on the X platform as stating that it decided to raise its lending rate by 25 basis points to 4.60 percent, and to increase its repo rate by 25 basis points to 4.35 percent.
The Qatar Central Bank clarified that the interest rate hike will take effect starting Thursday.
