Qatar and Singapore discuss latest regional developments

Doha, Sept 16 (KUNA) -- The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held talks today with Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, to discuss the latest regional developments. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the two sides also discussed, during a meeting held in Doha, the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region. The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reaffirmed during the meeting Qatar’s support for all diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving a solution that guarantees freedom of maritime navigation and paves the way for a comprehensive agreement that ensures lasting peace in the region.
