U.S. Attorney General: Crime Rates Fall to Lowest Levels in Modern History

Washington, Sept 15 (KUNA) — U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanchard affirmed today that the crime rate in the United States has reached its lowest level in modern history, since President Donald Trump took office in January last year. Speaking at a press briefing at the White House, Blanchard said, “Under President Trump’s leadership, crime rates have fallen to their lowest levels in modern history.” He noted that “in 2025, murder rates dropped by nearly 20 percent, while violent crime rates fell by approximately 10 percent.” He emphasized that “the Department of Justice is working with unprecedented cooperation and coordination with its partners in law enforcement at the federal, state, and local levels, which is why we are seeing these results that contribute to making America safer.” (End) R.S.R. / R.J.
