State of Kuwait condemns the incursion of extremist settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of occupation forces

Kuwait City, September 15 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation of the incursion by extremist settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, protected by Israeli occupation forces, emphasizing that the recurrence of such practices violates the sanctity of holy sites and escalates tensions in the region. In a statement issued today, Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s rejection of attempts to alter the legal and historical status quo in Jerusalem and its holy sites, stressing the necessity for the international community to play its role in halting these transgressions and safeguarding the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque as a place of worship exclusively for Muslims. Kuwait also reiterated its firm and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the fraternal Palestinian people, foremost among which is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
