United Kingdom and Qatar Agree to Extend Defense Cooperation Agreement

London, September 15 (KUNA) -- Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and British Defense Secretary Wes Streeting signed today, Tuesday, an agreement to extend the defense cooperation pact between the two countries. In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Minister Streeting said, “With the agreement to extend defense cooperation between the United Kingdom and Qatar, we will continue to work together to safeguard the security of our countries and enhance regional stability, alongside cooperation in developing the latest technologies.” He noted that he discussed with the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense matters of mutual interest, particularly ways to develop military relations between the two countries.
