Gaza, September 15 (KUNA) -- Two Palestinians were martyred and seven others were injured today, Tuesday, when an Israeli occupation drone targeted a group of Palestinians in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza, raising the day’s martyr count to five since dawn. Health authorities said in a press statement that ambulance crews transported the bodies of two martyrs and a large number of injured people after the occupation drone struck a group of civilians near the General Security building in northern Gaza.

For their part, eyewitnesses told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the occupation targeted the site twice in quick succession, the second strike occurring while Palestinians were gathered and attempting to rescue those injured in the first attack, resulting in further casualties. They added that among the injured was a child in critical condition, and that the martyrs and the wounded were taken to hospitals for treatment.

In field developments since early today, two Palestinians were martyred and another was injured when an Israeli occupation drone struck a vehicle in the Safatawi area in northern Gaza. Another Palestinian was martyred in an Israeli air strike near the 17 Roundabout west of the city. Additionally, an elderly Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern sector, while three other Palestinians sustained minor injuries in a drone strike near the Industry building in central Gaza.

According to health authorities, the casualty toll remains likely to rise due to the severity of the injuries and shortages of medical supplies in hospitals. (End) w.a.b / a.m.h
