Kuwait City, September 15 (KUNA) — The academic year began today, Tuesday, for students admitted to the “Masarat” (Pathways) system at the secondary school level, with 2,991 male and female students starting their studies in 12 schools designated to implement the system. These schools are distributed across the six educational regions, with two schools for boys and two for girls in each region.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Education said that implementing the “Masarat” system represents a developmental step aimed at providing more diverse and flexible educational options, enhancing the learner’s role in shaping their academic path and making informed educational decisions, thereby contributing to the development of their capabilities and better preparing them to continue their university education and professional careers.

The ministry added that the General Directorate of Guidance, Curricula, and Research, under the supervision of its director general, Mohammed Al-Otaibi, organized an informational and orientation session for students at Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah School. The session covered the nature of the system, study and registration procedures, and the method for selecting educational courses, in addition to answering students’ inquiries and providing necessary guidance to ensure a stable and smooth start to the academic year.

It clarified that educational, administrative, and counseling teams in the schools are monitoring students from the first day, providing the necessary support and guidance during the implementation phase of the new system, thereby ensuring academic stability and guaranteeing clarity of procedures for students and their parents.
