Riyadh, 14 September (KUNA) -- The Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen affirmed on Monday the continued “criminal and deliberate attacks” by the “Houthi militia” against civilian infrastructure and civilians in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a statement, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesperson for the Coalition forces, said that “the continuation of these deliberate and repeated attacks confirms the Houthi militia’s approach and extremist ideology of escalation and targeting civilian infrastructure and civilians.” Al-Maliki clarified that on Monday, the militia carried out attacks on civilian infrastructure in the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif using several ballistic missiles and drones, resulting in minor and moderate injuries to 13 civilians and damage to seven residential homes and two vehicles. He stressed that “the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will respond to these attacks with responsibility and firmness to protect the sovereignty of the Kingdom, as well as civilian infrastructure and civilians, from these heinous attacks, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, the principle of self-defense, international humanitarian law, and its customary rules.” He added that “the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will take all necessary operational measures to deter the Houthi militia and confront its hostile and extremist approach.” (End) K.N.S. / M.A.H.A.
