Decree issued accepting the resignation of the Minister of Commerce and Industry and appointing the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment as Acting Minister of Commerce

Kuwait City, 14 September (KUNA) -- A decree was issued today, Monday, accepting the resignation of Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Khaled Abdullah Boudi and appointing Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Abdulaziz Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Murshid as Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry. The text of the decree follows:

"Decree No. (148) of 2026 Accepting the Resignation of the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Appointing an Acting Minister

After reviewing the Constitution,

The Emiri Decision issued on 2 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1445 AH, corresponding to 10 May 2024 CE,

Decree No. 73 of 2024 on the Formation of the Cabinet and its amended decrees,

Decree No. 84 of 2024 Concerning Ministerial Succession and Acting Appointments and its amended decrees,

And the resignation submitted by Osama Khaled Abdullah Boudi, Minister of Commerce and Industry,

And based on the proposal of the Acting Prime Minister, we have decreed as follows:

Article One: The resignation of Osama Khaled Abdullah Boudi, Minister of Commerce and Industry, is accepted.

Article Two: Abdulaziz Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Murshid, Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, is appointed, in addition to his current duties, as Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry.

Article Three: The Prime Minister shall execute this decree, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
