Egyptian Foreign Minister and His UAE Counterpart Discuss Latest Developments in Yemen
Cairo, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed discussed on Monday the latest developments in regional affairs, particularly the situation in Yemen. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the discussion took place during a phone call between the two sides, who reaffirmed the importance of working to overcome the challenges facing the region and their repercussions on the security of the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab. The statement said the two ministers stressed the necessity of respecting the rules of international law and safeguarding the security and freedom of international navigation, as well as the need to intensify efforts to contain tensions and prevent the conflict from escalating, thereby contributing to enhancing security and stability in the region.
