KU President: Looking Forward to an Academic Year Full of Achievements Towards Excellence, Leadership, and Knowledge Horizons

Kuwait City, 13 September (KUNA) — Dr. Dina Al-Milhim, President of Kuwait University, expressed the university’s aspiration for a new academic year marked by abundant contributions and achievements, serving as a new milestone toward greater excellence and leadership, and expanding the horizons of knowledge and innovation in line with the ambitions of the State of Kuwait and its youth.

In a speech delivered today, Sunday, on the occasion of the launch of the new academic year, Dr. Al-Milhim stated that Kuwait University continues its journey toward achieving its strategic objectives and enhancing its academic and research standing, thereby contributing to the preparation of generations capable of serving the nation and keeping pace with future demands.

She expressed the university’s pride in the high-level patronage it receives from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (may God protect and guard him), His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah (may God protect him), and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister (may God protect him), as well as the continuous support of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal. She emphasized that this patronage reflects a firm belief in the importance of knowledge and the university’s role in the nation’s development and progress.

She noted that Kuwait University, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary since its establishment, relies on the integrated efforts of its academic and supporting academic staff, administrative personnel, and students, working with a spirit of teamwork to enhance its capacity to fulfill its academic and national mission and translate it into tangible achievements.

Dr. Al-Milhim clarified that the university is pursuing its strategic objectives based on the pillars of quality, innovation, distinguished presence, and sustainability, through the development of academic programs, strengthening scientific research and innovation, building effective partnerships, and providing an inspiring university environment that elevates the quality of education and keeps pace with changes and labor market needs.

She expressed her wishes for the university community for an academic year filled with achievement and excellence, and for students with success and prosperity in their academic journey, and prayed to God Almighty to perpetuate the blessings of security, safety, progress, and prosperity upon the State of Kuwait under its wise leadership.
