He added that cooperation with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, the Kuwait School Sports Union, and the Ministry of Higher Education represents an important step toward developing the school sports system, identifying students with athletic talents, and refining their skills, thereby providing them with greater opportunities to represent Kuwait at international sporting events.
For his part, Minister Al-Jalahma affirmed that the cooperation protocol reflects the importance of integrating government efforts and sports and educational institutions in supporting Kuwaiti youth, noting that investing in students and young people is an investment in Kuwait’s future.
Al-Jalahma told KUNA that the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Kuwait School Sports Union, would work to support school sports programs and initiatives and provide a suitable environment for discovering talents and developing their capabilities. This would enhance the presence of sports in students’ lives and encourage them to adopt healthy and active lifestyles.
The signing of the protocol comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation and coordination among entities concerned with education, youth, and sports, aiming to elevate school sports, expand the base of participants in sports activities, and discover, nurture, and prepare student talents according to scientific and methodological foundations.
