In a statement, the agency said that the General Directorate of Security Operations, in cooperation with the security directorates of Sulaymaniyah and Halabja governorates, conducted several operations that resulted in the arrest of two armed ISIS cells, along with several clandestine operatives, bringing the total number of detainees to 22.

The statement noted the seizure of large quantities of heavy, medium, and light weapons, hand grenades, military binoculars, and ammunition, adding that the group had been planning to carry out several terrorist attacks in mid-September.
