(Al-Tatbiqi) confirms readiness to welcome 56,000 students tomorrow
Kuwait City, 12 Sept (KUNA) -- The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) confirmed its full readiness and preparations to welcome approximately 56,000 students at the start of the new 2026/2027 academic and training year on Sunday, across its various colleges, institutes, and facilities.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, the Authority explained that its preparations encompassed academic, technical, administrative, and service-related aspects, alongside maintenance, equipment upgrades, and the enhancement of the readiness of facilities, laboratories, and sports infrastructure. These measures aim to ensure a safe, integrated educational and training environment and an organized launch of the new academic year.
The statement noted that PAAET Director General Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam has been closely monitoring the readiness preparations and inspecting the latest equipment across all Authority sectors. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to provide all necessary requirements for welcoming students and ensuring the continuity of the educational and training process from the first day.
Readiness measures covered five applied colleges and eight training institutes, including the completion of civil, electrical, and technical maintenance works, as well as the preparation of laboratories, sports facilities, and theaters. Additionally, maintenance of scholarship student housing was completed, and the infrastructure for security cameras was finalized.
The Authority also completed the readiness of its security, safety, and fire suppression systems across all its sites, while continuing coordination with relevant authorities to organize traffic and vehicle movement, thereby enhancing the safety of students and PAAET staff.
Regarding support services, the Authority announced the provision of 246 buses for student transportation, including buses designated for students with disabilities, as well as round-the-clock transportation services for scholarship students.
The Authority stated that the completion of these preparations reflects its commitment to providing all the prerequisites for success in the new academic and training year, improving the quality of services offered to students, supporting the continuity of the educational and training process, and strengthening the Authority’s readiness to fulfill its mission efficiently and effectively.
