Saudi Pro League: Al-Ittihad defeats Al-Faisaly to temporarily top the table

Jeddah, Sept 11 (KUNA) -- Al-Ittihad defeated Al-Faisaly 3-1 on Friday in their Saudi Pro League (Roshn) seventh-round match played at Al-Majmaah Sports City Stadium. Al-Ittihad opened the scoring through Steven Bergwijn in the 28th minute, while Youssef Al-Nesri scored two goals in the 43rd and 59th minutes. Al-Faisaly’s sole goal came from Theophilus Ogonda in the 87th minute. With this result, Al-Ittihad temporarily topped the league table with 17 points, while Al-Faisaly remained in 17th and last place with three points. (End) f n / m a h a
