Indian Prime Minister and UN Secretary-General Emphasize the Need to Reform Multilateral Institutions

New Delhi, Sept 11 (KUNA) -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday regarding the importance of multilateralism and the necessity of reforming multilateral institutions, including the UN Security Council, to reflect contemporary realities. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated that the discussion took place during a meeting between Modi and Guterres on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in New Delhi. The ministry added that the two sides discussed a number of issues, including current conflicts, freedom of navigation, sustainable development, human-centric artificial intelligence, progress in renewable energy, and global food security.
