(Disability Affairs Authority): Launch of 10 new e-services via "Sahl" to facilitate transactions for persons with disabilities
Kuwait City, September 11 (KUNA) – The Public Authority for People with Disabilities announced on Friday the launch of 10 new electronic services via the “Sahl” application. These services include requests for a letter to reduce working hours for persons with disabilities and their caregivers, as well as requests for certificates for interested parties, alongside the issuance of disability and caregiver certificates. The initiative aims to simplify procedures and save time and effort for persons with disabilities and their caregivers.
Dr. Khalifa Al-Hila, Deputy Director General of the Medical, Psychological, and Social Services Sector at the Authority, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the services also include requesting appointments with medical committees, renewing disability certificates, applying for retirement for persons with disabilities, requesting hearing aids and wheelchairs, obtaining exemption from fingerprinting, and submitting requests for traffic license plates.
He added that the launch of these services is part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop its electronic services and enhance the level of services provided to beneficiaries, enabling the completion of various transactions electronically with ease and reducing the need for in-person visits.
Al-Hila clarified that expanding the range of services offered through the “Sahl” application implements the state’s direction toward digital transformation and improving the level of government services, thereby accelerating transaction processing and simplifying procedures for persons with disabilities and their caregivers.
He affirmed the Authority’s continued commitment to developing and adding more electronic services that meet beneficiaries’ needs, thereby enhancing the speed and efficiency of transaction processing. (End) S.L.M./M.Kh.
