Death toll from continuous Israeli airstrikes on Gaza Strip rises to 9 martyrs

Gaza, September 10 (KUNA) -- The number of casualties from the continuous Israeli occupation shelling on the Gaza Strip rose to nine Palestinian martyrs on Thursday, with others injured. This came after health authorities announced the martyrdom of three Palestinians in an Israeli airstrike on the coastal area of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip. Authorities stated in a bulletin that a fourth Palestinian was martyred and several others were injured in an Israeli air strike that targeted a car in Hamad, northwest of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. Eyewitnesses told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the shelling on Hamad caused the vehicle to catch fire, while a residential apartment and several tents belonging to displaced Palestinians nearby were damaged. Civil defense teams worked to extinguish the blaze and transport the injured to hospitals. Earlier, Palestinian authorities announced the death of a fifth Palestinian from injuries sustained in a strike on the town of Al-Qarara in Khan Younis. During the early hours of the morning, a family of four, including the parents and their two daughters, was martyred in an attack in the northern part of the Strip, bringing the total number of martyrs to nine Palestinians.
