Britain: Citizen Accused of Spying for Russian Military Intelligence

London, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- The UK Crown Prosecution Service on Wednesday charged a man in his thirties with spying for Russia’s military intelligence agency (GRU). The BBC reported that sources from the prosecution service confirmed that counter-terrorism police arrested a British national in his thirties in Swindon, western England, last Friday, and transferred him to a secure facility in London. The accused is set to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in central London on Thursday to face charges of assisting a foreign intelligence service under the National Security Act 2023.
