Launch of the Erbil International Real Estate Investment Exhibition with the participation of 300 companies

Erbil, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- The seventh International Real Estate and Investment Exhibition kicked off today in Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, and will run for four days, with participation from 300 specialized companies representing 12 countries.
Mohammed Shukri, head of the Kurdistan Region’s Investment Commission, said in a speech at the opening ceremony that the region is currently undergoing an advanced stage of investment growth, noting that foreign companies account for about 20 percent of total investment activity in the region.
He added that the exhibition aims to revitalize the real estate market and boost sales in the region by bringing together companies and investors, showcasing residential and commercial projects, and offering promotional deals, discounts, and incentives to help families and citizens acquire homes.
He clarified that the exhibition serves as a platform uniting local and foreign companies specializing in real estate development and investment, amid the growing activity in this sector in the Kurdistan Region.
According to real estate market data, more than 70,000 offices and companies specializing in brokerage and real estate services are active across the region, including approximately 7,500 registered offices in Erbil. (End) S.B.R. / A.M.S.
