U.S. Secretary of State: Iran will lose oil tankers every time it attempts to target the U.S. Navy

Washington, Aug 8-9 (KUNA) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Tuesday that Iran will lose oil tankers “every time” it attempts to target the U.S. Navy. Speaking to reporters in Colombia, where he is on an official visit, Rubio stated, “Any targeting of U.S. warships will be met with the targeting of Iranian oil tankers.” Earlier today, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the destruction of five Iranian oil tankers near Kharg Island, following attempts by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to target a U.S. warship with ballistic missiles twice over the past two days.
