Arab Honor for Kuwait's Medical Accountability Agency for Securing First Place in the (Governance) Axis at the (Golden Initiative) for Healthcare Excellence
Abu Dhabi, September 8 (KUNA) -- The Arab Hospitals Federation today honored the State of Kuwait, represented by the Medical Accountability Authority, for securing first place in the Arab region in the Leadership, Governance, and Continuous Improvement category during the seventh edition of the Golden Initiative for Healthcare Excellence certification.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after the ceremony, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah stated that “this achievement is a source of pride and reflects the distinguished image of the State of Kuwait and its health institutions at regional and international forums, confirming the advanced levels it has reached in leadership, governance, and institutional excellence.”
Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah added that “this recognition is the fruit of sincere efforts, perseverance, and continuous work undertaken by all employees of the Medical Accountability Authority,” emphasizing that his presence to receive the award was “on behalf of an integrated team whose efforts and dedication contributed to achieving this accomplishment, which is recorded in the name of the State of Kuwait.”
He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the officials of the Medical Accountability Authority and all its employees for their efforts and contributions in achieving this milestone, stressing the importance of continuing work to enhance performance levels and institutional excellence in the health sector.
Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah received the award during the ceremony held in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and in the presence of a delegation from the Medical Accountability Authority representatives, led by Dr. Layla Al-Anzi.
The authority’s recognition came after it achieved the highest score among all eligible institutions in the Leadership, Governance, and Continuous Improvement category, earning the Platinum classification in the seventh edition of the initiative organized by the Arab Hospitals Federation.
The initiative saw 323 applications submitted by institutions from 10 Arab countries, which were evaluated according to specialized institutional standards. Only 45 institutions received recognition and were honored in this year’s results.
This achievement reflects the progress made by the State of Kuwait in the fields of leadership, governance, continuous improvement, and institutional development within the health sector.
Earlier, in June, the Arab Hospitals Federation announced that the Medical Accountability Authority had secured first place in the Arab region in this category, prior to its formal recognition and the award ceremony held today in Abu Dhabi. (End) S.K.M./M.A.A.
