Pakistan strongly condemns the targeting of civilian and economic assets in Saudi Arabia

Islamabad, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- Pakistan strongly condemned on Tuesday the attacks launched by the Houthi militias on civilian targets and energy facilities in the Saudi Arabian cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, which resulted in the injury of dozens of civilians, including women and children.
In a statement, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, "I strongly condemn the cowardly attacks carried out by the Houthi militias, which targeted civilian infrastructure and energy facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, resulting in the injury of dozens of people."
He affirmed Pakistan's full solidarity and its unwavering support for Saudi Arabia, backing all measures taken to safeguard its security, stability, interests, and the protection of its people and residents.
Sharif further clarified that "such despicable attacks threaten innocent lives and once again jeopardize peace and security in the region," reiterating Pakistan's steadfast support for the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of the Kingdom. (End) S.B.K / F.S
