London, Sept 7 (KUNA) -- British Prime Minister Andy Burnham held talks today with U.S. President Donald Trump on a range of issues, including strengthening bilateral relations, the war in Ukraine, developments in the Middle East, and efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. A statement issued by the British government said that Burnham “congratulated President Trump on the latest U.S. employment data and pointed to positive indicators of growth in the British economy.” Regarding Ukraine, the statement clarified that the two sides agreed on the need to continue working toward a ceasefire that would prevent further casualties, adding that the British prime minister reiterated the United Kingdom’s support for Ukraine and for the recent U.S.-led peace negotiations.
