Lebanon: Israeli occupation aggression death toll rises to 4,381 since last March

Beirut, Sept 7 (KUNA) -- Lebanon announced on Monday that the cumulative toll of victims from the ongoing Israeli occupation’s aggression across various areas has risen to 4,381 dead since March 2 last year. The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that the cumulative death toll from the occupation’s aggression since March 2 “as of today” has reached 4,381 dead and 12,402 wounded, noting that the overall toll of the aggression since October 8, 2023, has risen to 8,948 dead and 30,638 wounded.

On the ground developments, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that a convoy belonging to the Israeli occupation forces targeted the road between the towns of Sajjad and Al-Reihan in the Jezzine district, without reporting any human casualties in southern Lebanon. The agency also stated that Israeli occupation forces carried out bombings in the town of Houla in the Marjayoun district, causing significant material damage to properties in the south.

Earlier on Monday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that Israeli occupation attacks on southern Lebanon over the past three days had resulted, in a preliminary tally, in 27 dead and 69 wounded.

Southern Lebanon has been witnessing continuous military and ground escalation amid escalating violations and confrontations along the southern border since March 2 last year, which have resulted in hundreds of dead and wounded, the displacement of thousands of residents from border villages and towns, and severe damage to infrastructure and property.
