Bahraini Foreign Minister and Special Representative of the Palestinian President Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Manama, Sept 7 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani held talks with Yasir Abbas, the Special Representative of the President of the State of Palestine, on the trajectory of the close fraternal relations between the two countries and the continuous growth and development of their bilateral cooperation and coordination across various fields, in service of their shared interests.

Bahrain’s official news agency (BNA) stated that these discussions took place during a meeting between Minister Al Zayani and the Special Representative of the President of the State of Palestine, along with his accompanying delegation, at the Foreign Ministry headquarters, on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The agency clarified that the meeting also addressed ways to enhance diplomatic cooperation and coordination between the two countries at international forums, particularly during Bahrain’s non-permanent membership on the UN Security Council, in all matters aimed at supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among which is their right to establish an independent state within the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
