Deputy Foreign Minister Heads Kuwait Delegation to the Consultative Meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers and the Ministerial Meeting of the Arab League Council in Cairo

Cairo, September 7 (KUNA) -- Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Hamad Al-Mushaan chaired today, Monday, the Kuwait delegation participating in the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers and the Arab League Council meeting at the ministerial level during its 166th ordinary session, held at the headquarters of the Arab League Secretariat in Cairo. During the two meetings, the latest developments in regional situations and efforts to enhance security and stability in the region were discussed, alongside ways to support joint Arab action and topics on the agenda.
In his statement on behalf of Kuwait before the Arab League Council, Al-Mushaan reaffirmed Kuwait’s steadfast position in the face of Iranian aggression and the attacks by its proxies, and Kuwait’s resolve to safeguard its security and sovereignty, while expressing full solidarity with sisterly and friendly countries subjected to such attacks. He called for the formulation of a unified, clear, and firm Arab stance against attacks on Arab countries, regardless of their source.
He also reiterated Kuwait’s condemnation of Israeli aggression against Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon, emphasizing the need to develop mechanisms for joint Arab action and to advance the concept of collective Arab security from political solidarity to deterrence and prevention, while enhancing the role of the Arab League in translating common positions into effective action and tangible results.
Al-Mushaan appreciated regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation in the region, stressing that the success of de-escalation tracks requires a complete halt to aggression, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and the guarantee of freedom and security of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law.
