Kuwait Football Association announces the senior national team squad ahead of the Gulf Cup

Kuwait City, Sept 6 (KUNA) – The Kuwait Football Association announced on Sunday the selection of 27 players for the national senior team to join a training camp to be held in the Qatari capital, Doha, in preparation for the Gulf Cup, scheduled for late this month.

In a statement, the association said the national team will begin its training sessions on Monday and will depart for Doha on the upcoming Wednesday to participate in a week-long training camp. Afterward, the team will travel to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to play a friendly match against Yemen before the start of the Gulf Cup tournament.

The player list includes Khaled Al-Rashidi, Saud Al-Houshan, Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, Rakan Al-Saeed, Fahad Al-Hajri, Khaled Subaih, Yousif Al-Haqan, Abdulaziz Mehran, Alwahaab Al-Awadi, Rashid Al-Dosari, Muath Al-Zafiri, Mohsen Fallah, and Reza Hani.

The list also features Ahmed Al-Zafiri, Khaled Al-Murshed, Jassem Al-Mutairi, Adabi Shahab, Abdullah Al-Qarzai, Nasser Fallah, Mehdi Dashti, Eid Al-Rashidi, Yousif Majed, Mohammed Daham, Mubarak Al-Fanini, Abdullah Al-Awadi, Shuaib Al-Khalidi, and Yousif Nasser.

The Gulf Cup of Nations kicks off on the 23rd of this month in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The national team has been drawn in Group A alongside Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Iraq. (End) S.A.D./T.A.B.
