Saudi Arabia.. Sultanate of Oman signs agreement for its participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh

Riyadh, Sept 6 (KUNA) – Oman signed today, Sunday, the contract for its participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh, which is scheduled to be hosted by the Saudi capital from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031. The contract was signed at the Expo 2030 Riyadh site by Saeed Al Busaidi, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth for Cultural Affairs and Oman’s Commissioner-General for the Oman Pavilion, and Eng. Talal Al Marri, Chief Executive Officer of Expo 2030 Riyadh.

Speaking on the occasion, Al Busaidi said that the signing of the contract marks an important milestone in Oman’s preparations for participation in the exhibition, reflecting the deep fraternal ties and close cooperation between Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He added that Oman’s participation will highlight the country’s heritage, culture, achievements, and the aspirations of its people.

For his part, Al Marri emphasized that Oman’s participation adds to the growing momentum of international involvement in Expo 2030 Riyadh and represents a significant step in the preparations for the event. He noted that the transition of more countries from the stage of confirming their participation to developing their pavilions and experiences contributes to shaping the profile of this global event.

Oman’s signing follows the participation contracts signed by France and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Expo 2030 Riyadh is expected to bring together 197 official participants and welcome approximately 42 million visits over a six-month period.

The exhibition, held under the theme “Vision for the Future,” aims to bring together countries and organizations to explore future challenges and opportunities, exchange knowledge and insights, innovate solutions, and open new horizons for cooperation and joint efforts. (End) K.N.S./A.S.
