The Muslim World League condemns Israeli occupation statements on the displacement of the Palestinian people
Jeddah, September 6 (KUNA) -- The Muslim World League strongly condemned on Sunday the statements issued by two ministers in the Israeli occupation government regarding the displacement of the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, which included proposals and mechanisms aimed at forcibly removing Palestinians from their land. In a statement, the League’s Secretary-General and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammed al-Issa, denounced these unacceptable remarks, emphasizing that they are part of the occupation’s violations of all international and humanitarian laws and norms in the occupied Palestinian territories and its undermining of peace efforts. Al-Issa stressed the urgent need for the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to immediately halt all Israeli violations and its attempts to impose a new demographic or geographic reality in the occupied Palestinian territories. He highly endorsed the joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Qatar, expressing their firm solidarity with the Palestinian people and their steadfast support for their legitimate rights, foremost among which is the right to establish an independent Palestinian state in accordance with the “two-state solution” and relevant international resolutions, as the only path to achieving just and lasting peace in the region.
