(Ministry of Education): “Balagh” program responds to over 8,000 reports, accounting for 65% of total reports
Kuwait City, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Education announced on Saturday that its “Bilgh” (Report) program in schools had received approximately 8,602 reports as of that day, representing 65 percent of the total reports received by the program, which aims to identify any observations or needs and address them urgently before the start of the new academic year.
In a statement, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Hamad Al-Hamad emphasized the need to handle observations and needs with urgency during this phase, and to strengthen integration and coordination with maintenance and services departments and relevant authorities in various educational districts. This, he said, supports rapid response to field needs and completion of remaining works according to the actual priorities of each school before students are welcomed.
The ministry explained that the program has contributed to linking schools, educational districts, preparedness teams, and relevant sectors within a unified electronic system. This system begins with recording an observation or need at the school level, referring it directly to the competent authority, and following up on the measures taken, completing required works, and closing the report.
It noted that preparedness teams and relevant authorities monitored more than 13,000 reports during the summer vacation through the program, concerning civil and electrical maintenance works, air conditioning units, water coolers, school cleanliness, as well as the supply of textbooks, school and office furniture, and other readiness requirements.
It added that 8,602 reports had been completed and resolved, accounting for 65.2 percent of the total incoming reports, while work is ongoing on approximately 20.5 percent of the reports, plus 14.3 percent representing new reports that are being processed.
It confirmed that intensive follow-up continues, with efforts intensified by sectors, preparedness teams, and relevant authorities to complete pending reports and ongoing works. It stated that activating “Bilgh” during this phase enhances the speed of identifying and addressing needs, reinforces integration between the field and concerned sectors, and contributes to raising readiness levels and completing necessary preparations to welcome learners with the launch of the 2026/2027 academic year.
