World Health Organization announces that one of its humanitarian warehouses in Kyiv was damaged by an airstrike

Geneva, Sept 4 (KUNA) -- The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Friday that one of its main warehouses in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, which contained humanitarian medical supplies and needs, was damaged as a result of an air strike launched late Thursday evening. Speaking at a press conference in Geneva, WHO acting spokesperson Christian Lindmeier said that access to the warehouse remains restricted, emphasizing that WHO teams have not yet been able to conduct a full assessment of the extent of the damage or determine the quantity of supplies lost. He clarified that this latest attack comes about two weeks after a WHO humanitarian warehouse in Nipru was destroyed, resulting in the loss of approximately half of the medical supplies and equipment stored there, which were intended to support around 225,000 people in frontline areas of the war.
