"Back to School" Exhibition: 750 Backpacks Bring Joy of a New Academic Year to Students from Needy Families

By Khaled Al-Jassim (Photo Report) Kuwait City, 4 Sept (KUNA) -- Amid books, pens, and colors, volunteers’ efforts converged at the “Back to School” exhibition, organized today, Friday, by the Manarat Al-Tawaa’oni (Volunteer Lighthouse) team in partnership with the Basata Al-Tawaa’oni team, to prepare 750 complete school bags containing the needs of students from low-income families across various educational stages, with the aim of bringing joy to them as they prepare for the start of the new academic year.
The exhibition, held in its fifth edition at the Namaa Center for Volunteering in the Rawda area, did not limit itself to handing out school supplies. It was accompanied by recreational and cultural activities for children, including face painting and story reading, combining the provision of support and preparation for the school year with creating a joyful atmosphere for children and their families.
The journey of the bags began before the exhibition’s launch, with a campaign coordinated with several sponsoring entities to purchase school needs and supplies, followed by sorting and preparation with the participation of team volunteers. (End) K.M.J / M.K
