Russian drones launch strikes on Ukrainian ships and logistics centers

Moscow, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that its drones had struck ships and logistical sites in Ukraine used to transport and store weapons and military equipment for the Ukrainian army. In a statement, the ministry said these operations are part of the ongoing Russian military campaign against infrastructure linked to Ukraine’s war effort. The statement clarified that Russian drones targeted a cargo ship carrying military equipment in the Black Sea during the day, and launched strikes against infrastructure at Ukrainian ports used by the armed forces for supply. It added that a drone strike also hit the “Bikon” logistics center for storing and distributing military shipments in the town of Velyka Oleksandrivka in the Kyiv region. It also noted attacks on the “Novaya Bakhcha” logistics center and other sites linked to supplying Ukrainian forces. These developments come as Russia and Ukraine continue to exchange attacks, including strikes on infrastructure and facilities related to energy, transport, and supplies, amid ongoing military operations between the two countries.
