London, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- The British Foreign Office announced on Thursday the summoning of the Russian acting ambassador in London to condemn the “shocking and reckless attack” on Leipzig airport in Germany. In a statement, a Foreign Office spokesperson reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to defending its allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), supporting Ukraine, and standing against any attempt by Russia to undermine the allies’ collective resolve. The spokesperson characterized the attack on Leipzig airport as the latest in a clear series of Moscow’s efforts to undermine collective security, adding that the UK would continue, alongside its European partners and NATO, to expose Russian hostile activities at all levels.
