Egypt strongly condemns Iranian attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan

Cairo, Sept 2 (KUNA) -- Egypt strongly condemned the Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, describing them as violations of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of these states and a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region and endangers their populations. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with the brotherly Arab states, reiterating its firm rejection of any aggression that undermines their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. It emphasized that Egypt had repeatedly warned against the dangers of renewed combat operations and their serious repercussions on the security and integrity of sister states, as well as on freedom of international navigation. The ministry stressed that continuing this path of escalation leads only to a vicious cycle of confrontation and instability, threatening both regional and international security. Egypt renewed its call for an immediate halt to military escalation, for exercising maximum restraint, and for adhering to the principles of international law, norms of good neighborliness, respect for state sovereignty, and prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic channels.
