Britain announces comprehensive review of its policy on the Israeli occupation

London, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband announced on Tuesday that his government will conduct a “comprehensive review” of the United Kingdom’s policy toward the Israeli occupation in the coming weeks, citing the “horrifying terrorism of settlers” in the West Bank. In his first speech to members of the House of Commons since his appointment last July, Miliband said, “We must look at, and we are already looking at, our broader economic relationship concerning the occupied territories and the various tools available to us to address this file.” He emphasized his government’s desire to prevent British companies from financing, building, or promoting Israeli settlements in the occupied territories.
