President of the UAE and Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq discuss bilateral relations and common issues

Abu Dhabi, January 9 (KUNA) -- UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks today, Tuesday, with Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, discussing various aspects of the fraternal relations between the UAE and Iraq in general, and the Kurdistan Region in particular, as well as ways to develop cooperation to the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and to help realize their aspirations for development and a more prosperous future. The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that these discussions took place during President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s reception of Masrour Barzani, in the presence of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The agency added that the two sides exchanged views on a number of issues and topics of mutual interest, and reaffirmed the importance of working to consolidate the foundations of security, stability, and lasting peace in the Middle East region, in the interest of all its peoples.
