(Al Adil): Reorganization of court departments and transfer of several of them in September and October 2026

Kuwait City, 1 September (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Justice announced a number of regulatory measures concerning the transfer of certain judicial circuits among provincial courts, effective today, Tuesday, at the start of September and October, as part of efforts to organize case registration procedures.

In a press statement, the Ministry said the measures include transferring all general labor circuits from provincial courts to the Jahra Court, effective October 1, 2026, with the suspension of registration of new labor cases, while registration of such cases will begin at their new location, the Jahra Court, starting today.

It added that all general civil circuits will be transferred from the Farwaniya Court to the Hawalli Court, effective October 1, 2026, with the suspension of registration of new general civil cases at the Farwaniya Court and the commencement of their registration at the Hawalli Court starting today.

The measures also include transferring the Farwaniya and Jahra/1 appellate rental circuits from the Jahra Court to the Farwaniya Court, and relocating several circuits dealing with misdemeanors, municipal and environmental violations, cybercrimes, commercial offenses, and customs violations among the Jahra, Farwaniya, and Hawalli courts, effective October 1, 2026.

The Ministry stated that these measures are part of efforts to organize and develop judicial proceedings, achieve greater fluidity in the distribution of circuits and jurisdictions, and contribute to the regularity of the registration process and the smooth operation of the courts.
